BANTRY ATHLETIC CLUB
Bantry Athletic Club was formed over 50 years ago and has been very active since. We have both adult and juvenile members who train on a weekly basis and we love to welcome new members at any time.
Our adult members meet and train once a week and follow various programmes based on their individual level of fitness from walk/run training to marathon training. Members also take part and represent our club in competitions, park runs, road races and marathons. Training sessions are very enjoyable and are a great way to get fit in a social setting and meet new people.
Our juvenile members train twice a week and compete in cross country events and track competitions in many disciplines, e.g. short and long distance running, sprints, long jump, javelin, hurdles, ball throw. While we promote and encourage fitness our overall emphasis is on having fun and enjoying training.
